Starting our company from scratch in August 1997 we became a Woman and Family-owned
business based in the Rio Linda area. We (Jayson and Tory Gaultney) with little capital, built
this company from the ground up. For the first three years in business we worked nights.

Jayson worked in the Home Audio Department of Circuit City, and I worked as a Waitress at
Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant. Prior to starting our company, we both were in the pest control
industry. I became a pest control technician at 19 years old. Being around the industry my
whole life by the time we started our business, I felt like I really knew my stuff! Jayson jumped
into the industry in his twenties, quickly excelling and becoming a highly knowledgeable expert
in pest and rodent control. We made a great team!

We grew our company by knocking on doors and with great referrals from our happy
customers. We based our business on having great customer service and providing results with
the knowledge we both had. We worked hard to get to the point where we could quit our
second jobs and devote all our attention to the company full time, while still being able to keep
our family as our priority. We stayed just the two of us for many years. As the time went by,
we knew we needed to focus on growing. So, over the years, one by one we added family and
great friends to our Direct Hit Team.

After almost 20 years we were so excited to find a great property close to home and move our
company out of our house. After almost a year of remodeling and hard work the new location
was ready for the big move. Such a huge and great day for us.


Looking back after 25 years in business from where we started to where we are now, we are so
thankful! We love and appreciate our Direct Hit Family and all the love and support from our
family, friends and of course all our awesome customers that have made Direct Hit Pest Control
what we are today!
